About
When a child is experiencing difficulty with expressive or receptive language, articulating speech sounds, reading, early language development or feeding a Speech Pathologist can work with that child and family to help improve their performance.
Speech Specialists deliver speech therapy intervention in your child’s most natural setting. This can be at school, home, kindergarten, child care or out in the community. It is important that your child not only learns new skills in our speech therapy intervention, but also is able to apply those skills in their day to day lives.
You’ve probably heard that the early years of your child’s life are the most important for building strong language skills. That’s because your child’s brain is developing extremely fast during this time. In the early years your child is most receptive to enriching experiences and can make gains in leaps and bounds with the right support. If you have concerns, however small, don’t wait!
It is important to us to support you and your child to achieve functional goals that are worthwhile in your child’s development. As a practice we strive to work alongside families because parents are key to the success of a child’s progress in therapy. Kids who finish speech pathology intervention with long-lasting results are those whose parents/carers were involved.
